Clive Reader is a fictional Prosecution Barrister who competes with Martha Costello to try to get silk. He is played by Rupert Penry-Jones and loses out to Martha in the first series, but later becomes a Queen’s Council. He is in the plan to break away from Shoe Lane Chambers and form a new one.
